Constructed in 1992, Sukhothai Airport welcomed its first commercial flight on 12 April 1996, operating the Bangkok – Sukhothai – Chiang Mai route.

The airport is operated by Bangkok Airways and is served by ATR 72-600 aircraft with a seating capacity of 70 passengers.

Sukhothai Airport covers an area of approximately 1,846 rai, spanning three subdistricts:

Yan Yao
